De Europese Centrale Bank (ECB) verhoogt haar belangrijkste rente van 2,25 naar 2,5 procent. De bank wil daarmee de inflatie bestrijden. Een hogere rente kan doorwerken in de rente op leningen, spaarproducten en hypotheken.
